Forum of Asia, Africa and Latin America (2018) Held in IWH

  Forum of Asia, Africa and Latin America (2018) was held on September the 8th in IWH. The forum was organized by IWH and held by Section of Asian, African and Latin American History, IWH. Scholars from Peking University, Nankai University, Lanzhou University, Sichuan Normal University, Tianjin Academy of Social Sciences took part in the forum.

  In the opening ceremony, Researcher Wenxian Wang read the welcoming speech of Researcher Chaoguang Wang (president of IWH). Chaoguang Wang welcomed the participant scholars of the forum on behalf of IWH. He pointed out that the countries of Asia, Africa and Latin America and their history are of key importance in world history and the relevant studies. The discussion of history and reality is important for us to understand our past and present. He believed that this forum must be very helpful, as the mutual communication can broaden our academic vision and give birh to more research founding of high quality. He promised that IWH will keep encouraging and supporting such academic activities held by its sections. He finally wished great success of the forum. The participant scholars offered speeches and heated discussions. Researcher Wenxian Wang held the closing ceremony. She expressed thanks to the speeches of scholars and wished the forum next year would be even more successful.

  By holding the forum of Asia, Africa and Latin America every year, Section of Asian, African and Latin American History, IWH promotes communications among relevant researchers in China, shares latest academic information, and provided opportunities of communications and interactions among members of the section. The forum of Asia, Africa and Latin America plays a positive role as an important platform of academic communication.
