On November 3rd, 2020, IWH invited Professor Xinru Liu, New Jersey College, U.S., to give an online academic report on the historical changes in Central Asian languages. She discussed the immigration of people in Xinjiang, China and the change of their language, and how these are related to the linguistic studies on Indo-European languages. She further analyzed the problem of the “Aryan race.” This lecture is the second of the “Dengfeng Plan” series of lectures of the Department of Ancient and Medieval History, IWH, and also the second lecture of the year held by Center for Comparative Studies of Ancient Civilizations, Chinese Acedemy of History .
