The Section of Interdisciplinary Studies of World History

  The Section of Interdisciplinary Studies of World History founded in March 2011, has currently 6 research fellows.

  The Section of Interdisciplinary Studies of World History is mainly involved in the study covering second grade subjects and third grade subjects in the fields of World History, especially comprehensive and monographic research concerning different nations, areas, ages and fields. At present, the Section focuses on the exploration of macroscopic and extensive issues, aiming to provoke academic interest in significant realistic and theoretic questions, and expand our staffs’ knowledge of philosophical, social and natural sciences, strengthen their ability to comprehensively inquire into world history from an interdisciplinary perspective. All the members of the Section are specialized in different subjects of World History, including History of European Integration, Historical Theory and Historical Philosophy, Relations between Byzantine and Ancient Rus, History of Poland, History of Euro-Japan Communication, History of World Socialism and international relations. The foreign languages mastered by the members of this section include English, French, Russian, Polish, Japanese and Dutch.

  The staffs of the Section hosted or attended varied projects funded by the National Social Science Foundation of China, Key Research Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences of Education Ministry, Major and Key Projects of CASS, Innovation Projects of CASS, and Projects of World History Institute.
