Introduction to Korean History Research Association of China
Korean History Research Association of China was established in 1979. It is a mass academic society of the study of Korean history. The society is charged by Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and is attached to Institute of World History, CASS. Currently, it has 119 members. The commanding institution of the society is the council elected by the representative meeting of its members and is made up of the director, associate director, secretory general and several trustees. The society unites and organizes researchers and teachers on Korean history all over China. It organizes academic communication through conferences, discusses issues such as the periodization of Korean slavery society and its federal society, the characters of Korean federal land-ownership, the social character of Koguryo, the birth and function of Korean bourgeoisie, and the anti-Japanese war of Korean people. The society has translated The Complete History of Korea, vols. 1-5. Its own journal is titled Papers on the Study of Korean History.
