Introduction to China Society of Sino-Japanese Relations History
China Society of Sino-Japanese Relations History was established on August the 31th, 1984 in Beijing.
The academy is a national non-profit mass academic society organized voluntarily by scholars on Sino-Japanese relations history and people wishing to promote the relationship between China and Japan.
The society is charged by Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and receives the supervision of Ministry of Civil Affairs of the People's Republic of China.
The aim of the society is to unite scholars on Sino-Japanese relations history and people wishing to promote the relationship between China and Japan, promote the study of Sino-Japanese relations history, develop academic communication and friendship with Japanese people and societies, improve the research of Sino-Japanese relations history, and make contributions to the friendship between China and Japan as well as the development of the relationship between the two countries.
The presidents of the society are in succession Puchu Zhao, Shangqing Sun, Yining Li, Yin Wu.
The academy has its council and standing council; its daily sections include the office, the editorial, the liaison department and the research department.
The society organizes communication at home and abroad, and keeps good relationship with many Japanese societies and offices located in China. The society often organizes all kinds of conferences and invites scholars and politicians to discuss Sino-Japanese relationship both in history and on today.
The society has organized many groups to visit Japan, so as to promote the communication and the friendship between Chinese youths and Japanese people.
In recent years, the society has edited and published volumes 1 and 2 of Friendship Shapes History: Japanese Friends Helping Peoples’ Republic of China; it has also translated works such as Masayoshi Ohira and History of Japanese International Trade and Industry (in 17 vols.), which enjoy high reputation at home and abroad.
The society runs the journal Sino-Japanese Relations History Studies, which is released 4 issues every year.
