Chinese Society of French Historical Studies

The Chinese Society of French Historical Studies (CSFHC), founded in 1979, is a national non-governmental academic organization registered at the Ministry of Civil Affairs of PRC. Its management is entrusted to the Institute of World History, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

 

CSFHC aims to strengthen the research and teaching of French history in China, to promote international academic exchange, to further the progress of reform and opening-up in the country, and to live up to the mission of “Let a hundred flowers blossom and a hundred schools of thought contend!”.

 

CSFHC serves to:

I. Organize academic seminars, conferences and symposiums in the research area;

II. Edit and translate relevant academic journal articles and documents;

III. Provide subject-specific academic training;

IV. Promote national and international academic exchanges and communications;

V. Offer professional consulting services to the Authority and relevant institutions.

 

Since its founding, CSFHC has organized several prominent academic conferences and seminars, as well as published an array of influential journal articles and monographs, especially Correspondence of French History.
