The Academic Conference on the New Issues in the Western Historical Theory since the New Century is Successfully Organized

　　The Academic Conference on the New Issues in the Western Historical Theory since the New Century was held successfully by the project group of “the Study of the New Issues in the Western Historical Theory since the New Century ” and the editorial of Historiography Quarterly on June the 18th, 2016 in Institute of World History, CASS. 30 scholars from CASS, Peking University, Capital Normal University, Zhejiang University and East China Normal University take part in the conference.

　　The opening speech was given by researcher Shunhong Zhang (head of IWH and editor-in-chief of Historiography Quarterly). He welcomed the scholars taking part in this conference and pointed out that the main aim of this conference is to learn positive elements from the western historical theories. Chinese scholars will soon communicate equally with their western counterpart with the theoretical weapons equipped and finally gain an advantage over the latter.
