The Sixth Symposium on World History Studies of Academies of Social Sciences all over China was Held in Qiqihar

　　On July the 23-24th, the sixth symposium on world history studies of academies of social sciences all over China was held at Heyuan Hotel, Qiqihar. The symposium was held by Institute of World History, CASS and Academy of Social Sciences in Heilongjiang Province. It was held in Qiqihar University.

　　Shunhong Zhang (director of Institute of World History, CASS), Yu Zhu (director of Academy of Social Sciences in Heilongjiang Province) and Qigang Deng (associate headmaster of Qiqihar University) attended the opening ceremony and gave opening speeches. The opening ceremony was held by Shuang Liu (leading expert on issues of Northeastern Asia in Academy of Social Sciences in Heilongjiang Province).

　　The central topic of this symposium is “historical and contemporary issues in the relationship between China and her neighboring countries”. Over 60 experts from academies of social sciences and universities in Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Henan, Hebei, Shanxi, Fujian, Jiangxi, Shaanxi, Guangdong, Helongjiang and Liaoning took part in the symposium. 37 papers were submitted to the symposium. Scholars made academic discussion focusing on the central topic.
