Conference on the Construction of Learned Societies in 2017 Held by Institute of World History

    On 23 February 2017, Institute of World History held the Conference on the Construction of Learned Societies, with the participation of the heads of the fourteen learned societies under its jurisdiction. The attendees listened last year’s work reports and this year’s work plans of these fourteen learned societies. Fang Jishui, the director of Management of Societies Research Center of Scientific Research Bureau, CASS, made a speech, approving the management of learned societies by Institute of World History, interpreting the relevant policies of the nation and CASS, and proposing the requirements for the next stage. The comrades at the meeting made a heated and in-depth discussion on how to strengthen and improve the management of the learned societies, actively offering their advices for the societies. Zhang Shunhong, the director of Institute of World History, hosted the meeting, and the vice directors Wang Chaoguang and Rao Wangjing attended the conference.
