Correspondence: Seminar on “Recent Tendency of European and American Modern Historical Studies at Home and Abroad” Held by Key Program of European and American Modern History, IWH

  On November the 10th, 2017, key program of European and American Modern History, IWH held a seminar on “Recent Tendency of European and American Modern Historical Studies at Home and Abroad”, and invited scholars on European and American modern History from many universities to give lectures. Researcher Shunhong Zhang (director of IWH) welcomed the experts coming for the seminar and encouraged them to offer valuable advice and critiques for the construction of the subject of European and American modern historical studies. He also suggested that IWH should make further cooperation with historians on European and American modern historical studies in universities. Researcher Xuesheng Liao (former director of IWH, academician of CASS) took part and concluded the seminar. 

  Researcher Chaoguang Wang (associate director of IWH), Researcher Zairong Xu (Professor of Graduate School, CASS, executive vice-editor-in-chief of World History) and Associate Researcher Guorong Gao from Section of Western European and Northern American History Studies, IWH co-presided over the seminar. Over 40 staffs of Section of Western European and Northern American History Studies, IWH and graduates took part in the seminar.
