The Conference on the Cooperative Translation Project “The Left-Wing Perspective on the History of German Unification” Held in Beijing

  On April the 26th, 2018, the conference on the cooperative translation project “The Left-Wing Perspective on the History of German Unification” was held by Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung and IWH. Researcher Chaoguang Wang, director of IWH, presided over the conference. Zhaorong Mei (former Chinese ambassador in Germany), Qibao Liu (former Chinese diplomat in Germany), Jianzheng Wang (former military attaché), Zhihua Chen (honorary academician of CASS), Jan Turowksi (chief delegate of Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung in Beijing), Professor Nakath (the German person in charge of the translation project) took part in the conference. Chinese and German scholars introduced to each other their own institute’s historical background and academic research, and discussed the details of their future cooperation in the translation project. Over 30 scholars from Tongji University, Huazhong Normal University, Institute of Marxism Studies (CASS) and Institute of European Studies (CASS) took part in the conference.
