Institute of World History Held a Symposium on Constructing Academic System of World History and the Publication of Yu Pei's New Books

　　On June 21, 2021, the Symposium on Constructing Academic System of World History and the Publication of Yu Pei's New Books, jointly organized by the Academic Advisory Group and the Youth History Workshop of the Institute of World History (IWH), was held at Yuanda Hall of Chinese Academy of History. More than 30 participants, including Luo Wendong, Secretary of the Communist Party Committee, retired veteran comrades and young scholars of the Institute, took part in it.

　　Luo Wendong warmly congratulated the publications The Study of World History in Modern China: A Reexamination, 1949-2019 and The Historical Writing of World History in Early Modern China, 1840-1949, edited and written by Senior Research Fellow Yu Pei, IWH. These two works are symbolic for IWH, as well as China's world history circles. On the eve of celebrating the Centennial of the Founding of Chinese Communist Party, the symposium was not only of great theoretical and historical significance, but also of great practical and political importance.
