Department of African History
Department of African History was established in 2019. Currently, there are three researchers, including two research fellows and one associate research fellow, all of them hold Ph. D. degrees.
The main research focuses are regional, national and special history of Africa, especially Southern and Northern Africa.
The Discipline of African History was confirmed as the funded discipline of Special Disciplines Construction Project of CASS in 2010 and 2017. Members of the Discipline actively carry out academic exchanges with foreign countries, hold domestic academic conferences, undertake and complete a number of projects of National Social Science Fund of China, and publish several influential scientific research works.
The department hopes to strengthen cooperation and exchange with colleagues in and outside the country, and sincerely invites young talents who are interested in the study of the African history to join us.
