Department of Western and Southern Asian History
Established in 2019, the Department of Western and Southern Asian History is a new branch of the Institute of World History, CASS. It mainly studies the history of modern and contemporary western and southern Asian history, as well as ancient Assyrian history. Currently, the section has 3 research scholars, including 1 research fellow and 2 associate research fellows.
We now undertake several projects supported by the National Social Science Fund of China and innovation projects funded by CASS. Our works have aroused favorable responses.
The department hopes to strengthen cooperation and exchange with colleagues in and outside the country, and sincerely invites young talents who are interested in the study of western and southern history to join us.
