Department of European History

　　Established in 2019, Department of European History has gathered a group of prominent researchers in PRC, who belong to the first generation for the study of World History, such as Zhang Chunnian, Liao Xuesheng, Cheng Xijun, Sun Chengmu, Zhou Jianqing etc. Their research has laid a solid foundation for the research  of the institute in this field. The department currently has five staff members: Research Fellow Yu Jinyao, Associate Research Fellow Zhang Wei, Associate Research Fellow Wang Chao,  Research Assistant Xin Meili, and  Research Assistant Luo Yuwei. 

　　Guided by historical materialism, the research purpose of the department is to explore the political, economic, cultural and other development tracks of European countries, with particular emphasis on the historical process of major European countries since the great Age of navigation in the 15th and 16th centuries. 

　　The department hopes to strengthen cooperation and exchange with colleagues in and outside the country, and sincerely invites young talents who are interested in the study of the European history to join us.
