“Reflections on the Study of East Asian History”: Lecture of Professor Chengyou Song from Peking University at IWH

    On August the 29th, 2017, Professor Chengyou Song(Peking University) gave a lecture titled “Reflections on the Study of East Asian History” at IWH. The lecture gave a retrospectof the scholarship and tradition of the study of East Asian history in China in a broad vision. Professor Song summarized its current situation, pointed out its limitations and forecasted its future development. The lecture also expressed Professor Song’s view of the study of Asian history beyond the East Asian region.
