Academic Conference on “Reformation after 500 Years” Held in Beijing

   On November the 17-19th, 2017, the academic conference on “Reformation after 500 Years” organized by China International Academy of Culture and IWH, CASS was held in Beijing. Dozens of scholars from CASS, Tsinghua University, Peking University, Fudan University, Beijing Normal University, Sichuan University, Zhejiang Normal University, Beijing Union University as well as China Social Sciences Press, Social Sciences Academic Press attended the conference. 

   The opening ceremony was presided over by Researcher Qineng Chen from IWH (honorary academician of CASS). Researcher Shunhong Zhang (director of IWH) gave the opening speech. Researcher Shunhong Zhang welcomed the scholars coming for the conference and expressed thanks to Qineng Chen, who had done much to organize this meeting. Researcher Shunhong Zhang pointed out that the Reformation is an important revolutionary movement of thought and had lasting influence to European and world historical development. The study of the Reformation has its unique academic value and contemporary relevance. Chaoguang Wang (associate director of IWH) also attended the conference.
