Academic Lecture by Professor Ruomei Liu from Beijing Foreign Studies University at IWH

　　On November 24th, 2020, at the invitation of the Department of Ancient and Medieval History, IWH, Professor Ruomei Liu, Beijing Foreign Studies University, gave an academic lecture entitled “World’s First Russian History Book in Chinese: A Study on the Manuscripts of History of Russian Country in Qing Dynasty Collected by Russian Libraries”.

　　Professor Liu is an expert in the field of Russian Sinology. Her lecture focused on the world’s first Russian history book in Chinese, History of Russian Country. Scholars joined the lecture discussed the collection situation of the book, work of sinologists from various countries, relationship between the Rus and the Mongol Empire, between the Rus and the Byzantine Empire, etc..
