Department of “Belt and Road” History
Established in 2019, the Department of “Belt and Road” history is a new branch of the Institute of World History, CASS. It mainly studies the history of “One Belt and One Road”, especially the history of countries along the belt and road and the relationship between China and the world. Currently, the department has 4 research scholars, including 1 research fellow, 3 associate research fellows; 2 with doctoral degrees; 1 doctoral program supervisor and 1 master program supervisor.
Guided by Marxism and with world history perspective, the department focuses on the study of history of countries along the “one belt and one road” and related fields. In addition to the mother tongue, the working languages of our research scholars are English, Russian, French, Polish, etc. Our scholars do research projects under the aegis of the National Social Science Fund of China and Chinese Academy of Social Sciences et al. The research achievements of the department integrating history with reality, which has gained favorable academic responses both at home and abroad. The department hopes to strengthen cooperation and exchange with colleagues in and outside the country, and sincerely invites young talents who are interested in the study of the “Belt and Road” history to join us.
